Neue Hoheit

Neue Hoheit
The view from the Neue Hoheit restaurant is magnificent, and the interior design is inviting, modern, and yet comfortable. The menu is inspired by Austrian and French cuisine. Beef tartare, boiled fillet and Wiener schnitzel, pancakes, and Kaiserschmarren are also available in many restaurants in the city, but not with this view. After a delicious aperitif, a Bellini, the dishes are served. The Foie Gras Terrine is delicious, the pointed peppers stuffed with quinoa, passion fruit, and bread chips taste exotic and delicious, and the tartare is superb.
The 200-gram steak is perfectly grilled, tender, and pink and the mashed potatoes that come with it are no less delicious, and the French fries are crispy. The Goulash with butter dumplings was quite pleasant. In conclusion, the chocolate sour cherry Valhrona with vanilla ice cream and the pancakes with Wachau apricot jam were exquisite.

Cafe Central

Cafe Central
Also in the first district is the Palais Ferstel, built by the Ringstrasse architect Heinrich von Ferstel. Originally built as a bank and stock exchange building on Herrengasse, the building later served as a military casino and even as a sports hall during World War II. The palace, which was once described as "Vienna's most modern house" due to the combination of stone construction and Venetian-Florentine Trecento architecture, has housed one of Vienna's most beautiful coffee houses, the Café Central, since 1876. Well-known personalities of the fin de siecle such as Arthur Schnitzler or Sigmund Freud met here. The coffee house culture has deep roots in Vienna because the café house was and is seen as an extended living room and space for coziness. Today, Cafe Central enchants tourists and locals alike with its unique atmosphere and awaits you with a typical Viennese coffee snack, delicate, artful patisserie, and other soothing treats for the palate.

Bagels and More

Bagels are round, baked pastries typically made in the form of a ring. They are a popular type of pastry originating from Jewish cuisine in Eastern Europe and later became popular in many parts of the world.

Traditionally, bagels are made from yeast dough and briefly boiled before baking. This process creates a shiny, thin crust while keeping the inside soft and chewy. Bagels come in various flavors and variations, with some of the most popular flavors being sesame, poppy seed, whole grain, and plain. These flavors are achieved by sprinkling the respective ingredients on the surface of the bagel before baking.

Bagels are usually sliced and served with a variety of toppings and spreads. A classic bagel sandwich often includes cream cheese, lox, ham, chicken fillets, cream cheese, or other fillings.

At Bagels and More located at Webgasse 43 in Vienna's 6th district, you can find the most delicious handmade bagels with various fillings. The most popular ones include basil pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and red onions, tuna spread, tomatoes, arugula, red onions, and pickles, or cream cheese and lox with arugula and red onions. Additionally, they serve homemade pastries like chocolate cake or cottage cheesecake for a delightful café experience.
