St. Petersburg/Clearwater - Between Endless Beaches and Cultural Highlights

On the sun-kissed peninsula between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico lies St. Pete / Clearwater. 35 miles of endless white beaches, lots of sunshine, a wide variety of water sports, and charming waterfront restaurants make the St. Pete Beach – Clearwater area one of the best beach vacation destinations in Florida.

The area's National State Parks invite visitors to explore nature and wildlife. Honeymoon Island is ideal for nature enthusiasts who want to observe eagles, Virginia owls, and gopher tortoises or hike along the five-kilometer trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests. From Honeymoon Island, you can take a ferry directly to Caladesi Island. Caladesi Island is one of the few remaining natural islands along the Gulf Coast and can only be reached by boat. Whether it's a stroll along the island's pristine beaches or a kayak tour through the mangroves, a trip to Caladesi Island is an unforgettable experience.

St. Pete is also an artistic enclave, with eight museums and 532 impressive street murals. Downtown St. Pete is getting ready for the 10th anniversary of the SHINE Mural Festival in October 2024. A must-visit is the world's biggest art collection of Salvador Dalí at the Dalí Museum and the recently opened Dalí Alive 360° Dome – a multisensory experience enveloping the audience in 360-degree light and sound. Another exciting museum is the Imagine Museum, showcasing contemporary glass art exhibitions from around the world, or the Chihuly Collection – the first installation by Dale Chihuly, an American glass artist and sculptor. In addition to those cultural highlights, St. Pete also offers a vibrant restaurant and bar scene, as well as other attractions, such as the St. Pete Pier, one of the largest waterfront parks in downtown St. Pete.
