Hikes

We highly recommend adding a hike up to the Wildseeloder, Fieberbrunn's local mountain, to your to-hiking list. You can use the cable car Streubödenbahn till the middle station and continue your hike from there to the Wildalmen. Then the trail narrows and becomes a lot steeper, winding in serpentines towards the Wildseeloderhaus. After about 45 minutes up the mountain, you reach the Wildseeloderhaus. Here you take a break, replenish your body, and enjoy the view of the Wildseeloder Lake, nestled between the peaks of Wildseeloder and Henne. According to a legend, sacrilegious alpine dairymen drowned in its waters, and their cries can still be heard today at the small waterfalls, the Schreienden Brunnen.
From here you can take a stroll alongside the lake and take a cool dip on hot summer days. The serious mountaineer can continue the climb up to the summit at 2,118 m above sea level which takes another 45 min. We decided to enjoy the lake and walk the same path back.

Tips:
Medium-level mountain tour.
Hiking gear, mountain boots, and hiking poles are advantageous.
Bring enough water and food for the hike if you don't want to visit the Wildseeloderhaus.
